AgION antimicrobial has now been incorporated into additional iDEN phones. The recently launched i835 and i880 handsets join the i870, introduced last year, to feature this protection.

The antimicrobial, developed is incorporated into the coating and protects the phones by inhibiting the growth of microorganisms such as mold and mildew to help resist odor. Motorola is the first manufacturer to incorporate this technology in its phones.
Next week will be my last week of my contract with the current mobile service provider so I did start shopping for a reasonable service based on my current phone usage and lifestyle so compared services and fees and I ended-up with the Cingular, the company that purchase At&T wireless so basically I didn’t switch provider just the name.
I also decided to keep my mobile phone because I really like my high-end (a year ago) Moto phone and I don’t want to spend another dime (you guess it, Im cheap!) just to have a nice slick phone with all those bells and whistles.
I called Cingular, my current provider (former AT&T wireless) to have my phone unlock but the guy on the other line said they don’t unlock phone.. I said what?? I purchased this phone for the tune $299 a year ago and you just want me to trow it away? He said yes! that’s right! really a clever answer. Anyway, I ended up in Google and searched how to unlock my cell phone and it came up a bunch for results which in the end I sent it to a technician to unlock it for $10 + S&H which I believe is still reasonable than just throwing my high-end phone just like that.
My question is why is Cingular doing this stuff, when I was with T-Mobile I didn’t get this kind of answer when I requested to unlock my phone which is BTW is pretty fast.
