Samsung shipped 100 million

Samsung D60Since the company began producing the mobile devices in 1988, Samsung Electronics Co., the world’s third-largest mobile phone maker said yesterday its annual handset shipments topped 100 million this year.

“The achievement shows that Samsung is poised to be the centerpiece of the global mobile phone industry,” said Lee Ki-tae, the president of the company’s mobile phone division. To produce 100 million handsets a year, the company must produce more than three mobile phones every second, a statement by Samsung said.

Bio-degradable cellphone?

A particular handset, the Professional Executive model is compositely made of Cocobolo or Honduras rosewood. They have a limited edition which made of Ebony wood, titanium buttons and uniquely engraved pre-numbered series of 1 to 200. Other features which makes it high-tech and unique are a 1.3 megapixel camera, 32MB of internal memory, MP3 playback and much more.

Thin film digital clock

A Japanesse clock maker unvail this new thin film digital clock. The clock measures approximately 21×52 inches which displays time in black numbers using technology developed by an American company E Ink.

One feature of this huge digital clock is better visibility from sharp angles and in poor visibility or high sunlight than existing models, Citizen Watch said Thursday. This gadget is not cheap though, with a price tag $4,200 this can really hurt you budget.
